Put a teaspoon of Thyme in 1 cup boiling water, let it stand for 10 minutes and then strain. Add a drop of lemon juice and some honey to enhance its disinfectant qualities.
Good for soothing for coughs and fighting nasal congestion.

This blend, minus the Rosemary, also makes a great bedtime herbal latte. Add 1/2 T of each herb to 8 ounces of milk, heat until near scalding, then strain herbs and sweeten with 1 t honey.
In addition to headache relief, it helps with anxiety, stress, relaxation, and insomnia.
Add half a teaspoon of caraway seeds, a teaspoon of peppermint and a piece of crystallized ginger to boiling water and let steep 5-10 minutes. Strain and sweeten with honey as needed. Drink after dinner or 15 minutes before bed to ease symptoms.
If you don't have caraway seeds, fennel works well, too.

Parsley Tea
2 T parsley
1/2 gallon water
Place the parsley and water in a pot and allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Turn off heat, cover, and let cool. Strain and set aside. This should be used as a water substitute for one day and taken at least every 3 hours.
Pleasant tasting and does not require the addition of sugar, though honey may be used as desired.
Important: Consume this remedy on the same day you make it so that it doesn't lose its medicinal properties.

Add 1/2 T each Rosemary, Peppermint and Basil to 4 cups water. Boil lightly. Strain. Add liquid to a 1 gallon pitcher. Mix in 3 T each lime juice and honey, then fill with cold water.
Great for weight loss, memory and mental boost, stomach upset, indigestion, headache, menstrual cramps, boosting the immune system, liver detoxification, and increasing iron. It is antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antibacterial.
Add 8 ounces milk, 1/2 T Chamomile, 1/2 T Lavender, and 1/2 T Peppermint to a pot. Simmer until the milk becomes steamy but not boiling. Remove from heat, strain herbs and add 1 t honey. Stir and drink warm.
This is an excellent herbal latte for
migraines, stress, anxiety, and insomnia.
If you don't have the individual herbs, you can use 1-2 teabags of each herb.
Heat two cinnamon sticks or 1 T cinnamon in 8 oz of milk then add some honey.
Great for fevers and insomnia because it puts you to sleep, treats cough and cold, is a natural painkiller, and is anti-inflammatory.
Mix 1 cup warm olive oil with 1 tablespoon Peppermint leaves. Let stand 15 minutes. Strain and bottle.
To use, warm, then massage into chest and back to relieve congestion.
For use as a salve, substitute vegetable shortening for the oil, simmer together for 15 minutes until the shortening has melted and infused with the leaves. Strain and let cool to harden before using.
Add 2 fingers of peeled and sliced Ginger and 2 Lemons, sliced, to a mason jar. Cover with 1-2 cups of Honey. Refrigerate.
To use, add 2–3 tablespoons full to a mug of hot water. Be sure to include some ginger and lemon to your mug. Drink while hot.
Helps alleviate the symptoms of colds and flu. Also works well for mild stomach ailments. Safe to drink as often as needed.
Lasts up to 3 months when kept in the refrigerator.
Add 3 cups Cranberries, 1 cup Honey and 1 T dried Rosemary to 2 cups water.
Combine all ingredients in a pot and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the cranberries get soft and pop. Let cool, then strain syrup into bottles.
This syrup can be used in tea, or on your favorite foods. You can also add it to smoothies or otherwise bland drinks for a dash of sweetness.
This blend is antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory.
Boil 2 cups distilled water. Turn off heat and add 2 T Peppermint and 1/2 T Lavender.
Let steep for 10 minutes. Strain and cool, then add 1/2 c witch hazel.
Pour into spray bottle and use to remove make-up, dirt and oil, and soothe irritated skin.
2 fingers of Ginger, peeled and sliced

5 Cinnamon sticks
1 Yellow Onion, chopped
1 knob Turmeric, sliced
1 T Peppercorns
3 sprigs Rosemary
10 cloves garlic, crushed
2 Jalapeños, chopped
1 lemon, sliced
Apple Cider Vinegar
Add everything to a mason jar and cover with ACV. Shake well then store in a cool dark place for a month (shake every few days).
After a month, strain and discard the solids. Pour the liquid into a jar and refrigerate.
When you feel a sore throat, congestion, or cough coming on, take a shot glass full a few times a day.
Add 1 T Hibiscus, 1 T Lavender, 1 T Peppermint, 1 T Poppy Seed, and 1 T Chamomile to a pot. Add 2 cups Honey and 1 cup water. Simmer 15 minutes. Cool, then strain and bottle.
Take 1 tsp 15 minutes for bed to help with sleep. Take 1/2 tsp to help calm and relax. Can be added to hot water to drink as a bedtime tea or end of day wind down drink.
Add 3 T Rosemary, 3 T Peppermint, 3 T Basil, and 3 T Thyme to 1 c olive oil. Simmer gently for 20 minutes, then strain and bottle.
Rub into temples, across forehead, and at the base of the back of your head as needed for headache pain. It also works great as a decongestant; just rub a bit on your temples and under your nose for stuffy nose relief.
Add 1/2 cup Rosemary, 1 T Cloves, 2 T Lavender, and 3 T Peppermint to a pot and add 2 cups Honey and 1 cup water.
Simmer 15 minutes. Cool, then strain and bottle.
Take 1 tsp for pain as needed. You can also add to water twice per day to keep headaches at bay. Great for migraines and tension headaches.
Add 1/2 cup cloves and several cinnamon sticks to a jar. Cover with vinegar.
Let steep for 2-4 weeks, shaking once daily. Strain and bottle.
Add a tablespoon to a 16-ounce spray bottle of water, and use to clean and disinfect countertops, appliances, and other surfaces in your home or office. Can also be used as an air freshener.
Add 1/2 cup of Oregano and 2 cups of Sunflower oil to a jar. Let stand several days, then strain. Add in a few drops of Tea Tree oil. Store in a sterile bottle.
This is one of my favorite go-to healing oils. It's used to heal skin abrasions and cuts, and is good for bruises, too. The sunflower oil makes it even better because it's like a liquid bandage since it doesn't absorb into the skin as easily as most oils.
Add 1/2 cup Rosemary and 2 tablespoons Cloves in 1 cup olive oil. Simmer gently for 20 minutes, strain well and bottle.
Rub into skin as often as needed for rheumatic pain.

1 c Distilled water
20 drops Cedarwood oil
15 drops Rosemary oil
Cat safe oils: Rosemary, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Chamomile, Lavender.
As a caution, not all cats respond well to, or like, the smell of Lavender.
1 c coconut oil
20 drops Eucalyptus oil
10 drops Peppermint oil
5 drops Rosemary oil
5 drops Tea Tree or Cinnamon oil
Store in a jar in a cool, dry place. Apply to chest and feet as desired.
Caution: If pregnant, leave out the Rosemary.

Make into a paste and pour into ice cube trays, then freeze until solid. When showing, place near the drain. As the water runs over t hem, the scent of the oils will release.
A great mix is Peppermint and Eucalyptus which helps with cold, flu and congestive issues.
